Profile: The London Retaggio Brass Quintet was formed in 2012 by a group of past and current members of some of the UK’s finest military bands. This unique group have performed in venues all over the world as well as in the UK. They are a flexible and vibrant group of experienced musicians who plays with a sense of pure joy and fun. They are at home with most styles of music, ranging from high-quality concerts, corporate and promotional events, church and civil weddings, and social functions. Members of London Retaggio Brass reflect every aspect of music-making in London – as soloists, as orchestral players, and in the West End. Since forming the new ensemble they have already performed at the grand gala opening of London’s Intercontinental Hotel, Westminster, as well as at several other functions, concerts, weddings and educational presentation ceremonies. Style: Our various experienced trumpeters (including Jim, pictured below) have a versatile repertoire including fanfares, wedding favourites such as pieces by Jeremiah Clarke and John Stanley, classical (mainly baroque), and jazz.

Profile: Jim, one of our trumpeters and shown here, is a professional session and orchestral musician, teaches and conducts. He can provide a fanfare for the entrance of the bride, or of the celebrity at a wide range of events, and can be engaged for church ceremonies where traditional procession and recession music can be very successfully played by solo trumpet.This music is very appropriate to formal openings, award ceremonies, sporting events and great occasions. Jim is also a sought-after jazz musician. One of Allegro Arts Live Music’s outstanding artists, Jim plays with other instrumentalists forming jazz groups in a whole variety of sizes and styles suitable for all events where jazz music is required.
