Style: Steven plays an extensive variety of lively/upbeat and slow/smooth jazz numbers, relaxing and ‘light’ Classical music (including works by Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Chopin, Debussy), and well-loved songs and tunes (e.g. Rat Pack – Sinatra, Cole Porter, themes from shows, etc.)
Profile: Steven began playing the piano at the age of five, graduated from the University of London in Music, and trained to teach, becoming Head of Music at a top international school; he is also a freelance musician and performer (pianist, organist, conductor, accompanist, saxophonist, clarinettist, musical director). As a pianist, Steven is an Associate of the London College of Music, holds the ABRSM Advanced Certificate in Piano Performance, and has been awarded the Guildhall School of Music and Drama’s Recital Certificate with Honours. As a freelance musician and accompanist he provides music for weddings, receptions and corporate functions, and appears with a variety of amateur and professional theatre groups.
