Profile: This experienced duo comprises harpist Fontane and Xiao player Dennis. Fontane won the Pacific Music Festival and was a prize-winner in the 2009 Franz Josef Reinl Competition. She was also a recipient of the Royal Philharmonic Society’s Sir Barbirolli Memorial Foundation Award. In demand as a chamber and orchestral musician, she is principal harpist of the highly acclaimed Octandre Ensemble, which performed on BBC Radio 3’s ‘In Tune’. Chinese instrumentalist Dennis, playing the Xiao (bamboo flute), completes the ensemble, who are ideal for events featuring Chinese repertoire.
