HARPIST Celtic Harp. Bagpipes, Cello and Singing
Area: Scotland – mainly Central Belt but happy to travel.
Repertoire: Tradition, folk, classical, jazz and contemporary harp music. Traditional bagpipes. Traditional and folk cello. Singing: Scottish/Gaelic/Irish/English folk/traditional and English/French/German/Ialian classical.
Trained: Music School of Douglas Academy, and University of Edinburgh.
Profile: Eilidh is a talented young multi-instrumentalist from Glasgow, Scotland. She successfully auditioned for the Music School of Douglas Academy at the age of 11 where she studied harp, voice and cello for 6 years.
She was awarded a Distinction in the Trinity Guildhall Advanced Performance Certificate in Clàrsach (Celtic harp) in 2011. She sings in Gaelic, Scots and Irish as well as classically (passing her ABRSM Grade 8 Voice with Distinction at the age of 17). Eilidh also plays the Highland bagpipes and the ’cello.
Eilidh won the An Comunn Gaidhealach Gold Medal for Ladies Solo Singing at the Paisley National Mod in 2013 at the age of 20, as the youngest competitor to reach the final. She is currently reading Celtic Studies at the University of Edinburgh.
Eilidh is available to perform at weddings and functions in and around Central Scotland.
