Profile: Freya sings professionally around London and regularly performs with ensembles such as London Voices, Blossom Street Singers, RSVP Voices and the Philharmonia Choir Professional Singers Scheme. Freya’s church work includes singing in St Paul’s Knightsbridge, St. Barts, and the Tower of London.
Her career highlights so far include performing solos with Birmingham Opera Company in the world premier of Stockhausen’s Mittwoch aus Licht, and recording film soundtracks including Snow White and the Huntsman and The Hobbit. Her solo work ranges from Handel and Bach oratorios (including the St. John and St. Matthew Passions, B Minor Mass, Messiah) to Schoenberg’s Pierrot Lunaire, with roles including Sorceress and Dido in Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas and Joanne in Rent.
